Renting conditions for Abooking
1. Booking confirmation
The hirer’s order, whether in writing or verbal, will be binding. Any subsequent changes or cancellation must be made in writing and be in accordance with Point 11 – Cancellation/changes.
2. The holiday home
Information on the holiday home will be found in the presentation on the Internet.
3. Hire charge
Our prices are stated in the currency of the country and cover only rental of the holiday home. (What the hire price covers is given in the information on the holiday home, see Point 2.) The hirer must bring own bed linen (sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases), towels and other toilet articles, tea towels, dishcloths, cleaning products, toilet paper and kitchen paper.
4. Extra services
Certain holiday locations offer hire of bed linen, final cleaning, use of boat, snow scooter transport etc. This will be stated in the description of the holiday home. These services must be ordered and paid for directly with the contact person for the holiday home.
5. Number of persons
The holiday home is equipped and designed only for the number of persons stated. Deviations from this must be agreed in advance, and the hirer will be responsible for any costs arising from exceeding the maximum number of persons.
6. Payments
Payment of 20% of the hire charge will be required within five days of ordering. The remainder must be paid on arrival. Unless hirer can verify that payment of the first instalment has been made within the time limit, Abooking and the holiday home owner will not be bound by the order. If the money has not been paid into the account by the day after the time limit, the order will automatically be cancelled and the holiday home released for new orders.
7. Deposit
Some holiday home owners will ask for a deposit on arrival, see information on holiday home. The deposit will be returned on departure after checking for damage or missing items.
8. Deficiencies in the rented accommodation
If damage or deficiencies are discovered on arrival at the holiday location, this must be reported to the owner/agent as soon as possible and at all events within 24 hours. The hirer must not carry out any independent repair or remedy without agreeing this with the owner or his representative. User instructions provided in the holiday home for various installations must be respected.
The owner of the holiday home or the owner’s representative must repair/remedy defects and deficiencies within a reasonable period or offer other accommodation. If the hirer departs without having informed the owner or representative, or does not give the holiday home owner or representative the opportunity to remedy any deficiencies, the holiday home owner cannot be made liable for any duty of compensation or repayment. Any claims for compensation must be made in writing, including photographs if possible. Any claim for repayment cannot exceed the total hire charge.
9. Arrival and departure
The hire period starts at 15:00 on the day of arrival and ends at 11:00 on the departure day unless other information is given. If arrival is not to occur on the first day of the hire period, or in the case of late arrival, this must be agreed separately with the holiday home owner/key holder.
10. Travelling instructions/key information
Your booking confirmation will contain travelling instructions, the contact person for the key and details of the deposit. The contact person must be contacted well before arrival, at least two days in advance.
11. Cancellation/changes
The hirer may not cancel or alter details of his stay later than 45 days prior to arrival. For cancellations/changes after the above time limit, the hirer will be 100% financially responsible, as stated on the lettings agreement. All cancellations and changes must be made in writing by e-mail, fax, or letter, and any bank account details must be stated.
12. Holiday and cancellation insurance
Abooking recommends hirers to take out a cancellation policy with their own insurance company.
13. Final cleaning
The hirer is under an obligation to leave the holiday home clean and tidy in every way. You will be made financially responsible for any deficiencies in final cleaning. Final cleaning can be ordered at many of our holiday homes. If this service is used, you must still tidy the holiday home, empty the rubbish, finish any washing up and put away the dishes.
14. Abooking’s liability
Abooking is an online booking system for holiday home owners and professional letting services. Abooking's liability is limited to the technical solution for bringing together the holiday home owner and the hirer. Holiday home owners undertake to provide correct information on their holiday homes. Abooking will not intervene in any disputes between the holiday home owner/supplier and the hirer.
15. Force Majeure
Abooking will not be responsible for letting conditions in the event of natural disaster, epidemics, border closures, currency sale stoppages or other form of force majeure.
16. Agent houses
Please note that some agent-branded houses may have their own terms of rental.
